The importance of money in my life

Hello everyone!
 

Today I'm talking about of the importance of the money and how it affects in my life!
 

Well, first I have to say that for me the money isn't everything, because, sometimes, the people is very interested in this topic and usually all the time they pay attention to this...for me, the money don't determinate the person.

This last point is very important because in this society the people tend to look the money of the others to know what kind of person is, and often it measures the success with that. This is something that today I went conscious when in English class we talked about this topic...sincerely, it’s an atrocity that the people think that, I can imagine an old woman saying: “ooh, my son is good, he’s married, he's a professional and HE DOES WELL” jaja but that’s our culture, full of prejudice.

Personally, I think that the famous phrase “Money makes happiness” is partly right, because most of the time, the people wish things that involve money, or they would like have things that are not materials, but they’re obtained from them. In spite of that, I think that the money isn't the happiness; a person can have so much money and not be happy, for that, I think that the materials things aren't everything.

  

In conclusion, very well for you if you have money, but I know that while a person wins big money, much expenses…so, if you waste your money, what it matters if you always are in debt? The money is treacherous!

To vote or not to vote

Hello everyone!

Today I’m talking about to vote or not to vote this Sunday on the elections.

I think that the municipality elections are very important, more than presidential elections because the mayor’s power is nearer from the people and their daily life, and choose who will organize it, it’s essential, so much more in this country, when the politics is something that’s manipulated to obtain money and have good contacts to obtain positions of more power…today is very difficult to found politicians with a vocation and good intentions.

For all this, I think that the new system of vote is something complicated in Chile, because the people doesn’t have the civic culture, if the obligatory vote doesn’t exist, it’s possible that the people don’t vote, although in the past this person was registered voluntarily. Now, the mystery is if the teenagers + 18 and the other people that weren’t registered will go to vote this Sunday.

For that is important this vote; for the city council’s people, and that the people care the important decisions, I will vote because I feel that it’s a correct form to say the things that I think about the place that where i live, and that I feel with the actual mayor (that in my case, he support his town councilor for mayor), and, in conclusion, vote for something more than the politics, vote because we are citizens and we must chose one person to do the things for us…doing it well, and respecting the majority.

My Hobby!!

Hello everyone!!!

Today I'm going to talk about my hobby!! Maybe it looks like a passion for a very old woman, but my hobby is to make handicrafts!! I loooooooooove it! Sometimes, I watch TV, the Utilísima Channel and...”Ooooh” I say, “I should do that thing...I can to do it!!” :D and anyone can stop me in this moment jajaja

Although my parents don't have this hobby (and talent, too jaja), I can share it with my brother, that since he was very young, this attract his attention, and sometimes we work together, but he has a loom, a sew machine and he crochet! And my interest is more like lamps or things of decor.

Furthermore, in my home always supported my interest, and since I was a little child my mom buys materials for the handicrafts, and I have a box with maaaaaaany many materials for making anything, I have plumes, many kind of papers, beads, cute ink machines for draw, glitter, and others things for doing the thing that we want.

I think that this hobby is very healthy, because it develops your imagination and your faculty of create anything, because I feel that when I see something and I want to reproduce it, I'm capable of everything.

The picture shows one of my creations, as my boyfriend likes Pokémon, I made a pillowcase with pokéball shaped! The template was difficult, but I'm very pleased with the result. I like to do things for the people that I love =)

I'm Valeria and this is my English blog, the 4th level! I cant believe that I'm here xD I'm very bad in this subject but in my degree it's a very important subject, because our investigations and discoveries must be divulged and published in this lenguage, in scientific magazines, the geographic's world, and the science in general.

I'm 20 years old, and I'm a third year student of geography at Universidad de Chile, I like it because I can learn about the nature and his process, and it's a degree that have a lot of disciplines in one, It's very interesting! But it's funny that the first people's thought is always that we're history teachers or that we do maps. XD

In this subject, I hope to improve my English, sorry for the mistakes! ^.^
